Doug Stanhope is an American stand-up comedian, author, actor, political activist, and podcast host known for his caustic and often obscene observations of life. His comedy is often described as brutally unsentimental and iconoclastic, often making light of uncomfortable facts of life. Stanhope has been praised for his willingness to confront uncomfortable facts head-on and his ability to make piñatas out of sacred cows.
